Saša Simonović (Serbian: Саша Симоновић; born July 20, 1975 in Niš ) is a former Serbian football player .

Career

Simonović began his career in the youth of FK Radnički Niš , whom he left in 1994 for the first team of FK Voždovac Belgrade . In 1995 he moved to Greece and played for Aris Thessaloniki for three years . Then he returned to Serbia and played for FK Obilić . After a few years in Belgrade , he turned his back on his homeland and moved to Levski Sofia in Bulgaria . In his three years with the Bulgarian big club, two cup wins were celebrated and a Bulgarian Supercup won.

In the 2005/06 season the Serb was active with Wichren Sandanski , which he left for Slavia Sofia . There he played two seasons and after another season at Lokomotive Mesdra he returned to Levski Sofia in early 2009 and was able to promptly celebrate the Bulgarian Supercup there.

National team

Simonović has so far played an international match in 2000 for the national team of Serbia and Montenegro .
