The Illa Conillera is an uninhabited island on the northwest coast of the Spanish island of Ibiza . The island is also known as Conejera or Sa Conillera .

description

Conillera has an area of approximately 100 hectares and is 2.1 km long from north to south . It has an elongated shape and two bays in the middle. The bays created an isthmus that is only 222 m wide at its narrowest point. There is also a small island called Escull de Sa Conillera on the east side of the island.

The lighthouse on Illa Conillera was built in 1857. The white tower is located above a round building, which was extended in 1908 with two side rooms. It is located at the northwest end of the island and is 18 meters high. Under normal conditions, the light has a range of 18 nautical miles (33 km).

The island is designated as a nature reserve, uninhabited and may not be entered. A specialty is the turquoise subspecies of the Pityusen lizard (Podarcis pityusensis carlkochi) living here.
