The Saarbasar (own spelling: saarbasar ) is a shopping center in Saarbrücken-Eschberg .
history
The Saar Bazaar was built in 1979 on the site of the then closed steelworks of Dingler & Karcher at the foot of the Eschberg. Extensive renovation work began in January 2002. The work, which was made possible by an investment volume of 55 million euros, took place during ongoing business operations. The completion of the work was celebrated on October 2, 2003 with a reopening by the then Prime Minister of Saarland Peter Müller . MRE METRO Group Real Estate Management is responsible for the Saar Bazaar .

The Saar Bazaar is located at the foot of the Saarbrücken district of Eschberg. Part of the Saar Bazaar borders the Schafbrücke district . The Saarbasar is located near Mainzer Straße. The shopping center is divided into three floors and has 53 shops with an area of 34,700 m².

The Saarbasar is connected to the Saarbahn GmbH bus network with its own bus stop . The bus routes 107 (Folsterhöhe - Saarbasar) and 138 (Römerkastell - Dudweiler Dudoplatz) operate here. There are over 1,500 parking spaces available on the Saar Bazaar area.
