Sabine Kornbichler (born January 24, 1957 in Wiesbaden ) is a German writer. She became known through her novel Klara's House .

Life

Sabine Kornbichler went to school in Cuxhaven and then completed a degree in economics at the University of Hamburg , which she graduated with a diploma in 1982. After working for the Frankfurt PR agencies Wegmann & Partner (1983–1986) and GCI Ringpress (1984–1991), she moved to MCM Dr. Maune Consulting Management in the Taunus .

In 1997, Sabine Kornbichler began creative writing and, with her first short story, Lilly's Answer, took second place in the literary competition for the Limburg Prize . In 1998 Knaur-Verlag, Munich, signed her first novel manuscript and published it in 2000 under the title Klaras Haus . This novel has now reached its 27th edition (as of December 2014). This was followed by four more short novels and a volume of short stories, until 2006, her first detective novel, In the face of guilt , was published. Kornbichler's sixth detective novel The Silence of the Crow was published by Piper-Verlag on August 13, 2013 and was nominated for the 2014 Friedrich Glauser Prize on February 4, 2014 in the category "best detective novel" . The tenth detective novel The Last Guest was published by Piper-Verlag on May 2, 2018.

Kornbichler lives with her husband in Munich.
