Sabine Moussier
Diana Sabine Moussier (born July 12, 1966 in Leverkusen , Germany ) is a German-Mexican actress .
Life
As a child, Moussier immigrated to Mazatlán , Mexico with her mother . As a teenager she developed an interest in acting and attended Televisa's Centro de Educación Artística in Mexico City. After completing her training, she co-hosted Al ritmo de la noche with Jorge Ortiz de Pinedo. In 1996 she got smaller roles in the telenovelas Morir dos veces and Luz Clarita . A year later she played the pianist Mireya Serrano in the telenovela María Isabel . Her fame rose in 1998 when she played the likeable model Lorenza Torres in El privilegio de amar . For this role Moussier won the prize for the best newcomer at the Premios TVyNovelas in 1999 . In the following years she took on other roles in various telenovelas.
In August 2002 Moussier took a two and a half year break to look after her newborn daughter. She came back to screen in February 2005 in the role of Évora's ex-fiance in La madrastra . In the same year she starred in the play Hombres , before her son was born in 2006. In the next few years she appeared again in various telenovelas and was to replace Edith González in the musical Aventurera in 2009 . Due to a leg injury, however, she had to retire from production a short time later.
In 2009 Moussier was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome . After taking a break due to illness, she came back in 2011 with her first leading role since the diagnosis. Since March 2012 she has played Carmina Bouvier in Abismo de pasion , a remake of Cañaveral de Pasiones .
Moussier has two children with Chilean businessman Jorge Peralta, whom she separated in January 2008. Both were not married, but had to officially divorce under Mexican law because they had lived together for more than five years and had two children.
