Saen Phu
Saen Phu ( Thai แสน ภู ; * 13th century; † 1334 in Chiang Saen ) was the third king of the Lan Na kingdom in northern Thailand between 1325 and 1334 .
Life
Saen Phu was a son of King Chai Songkhram and lived most of his life in Chiang Rai , the ancient capital of Lan Na. He succeeded his father to the throne in 1325 and appointed Kham Fu as commandant and administrator of the new capital Chiang Mai, founded in 1296 . In 1327 Saen Phu had the city of Chiang Saen laid out on the old rulership of Ngoen Yang in order to arm the kingdom of Lan Na against attacks from the north. He stayed there until his death in 1334.
