Juice fasting

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term juice fasting refers to a special form of so-called therapeutic fasting . Only up to 1.5 liters of freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices , plus water and tea, are drunk for a limited period of time . This should purify and detoxify the body, stimulate the metabolism and bring the body into its natural acid-base balance. In combination with fitness exercises , an improvement in personal health should be achieved. The advantage of juice fasting and the main difference to other forms of fasting is mentioned that a large number of vitamins and minerals are absorbed with fruit and vegetable juices .

Juice fasting was coined by Herbert Krauss (1909–1991). In the meantime, the concept of fasting with juice fasting has changed, which today is less aimed at medical treatment and more at improving well-being and general regeneration .
