The Saint-Gobain Weber GmbH is a German manufacturer of building materials and subsidiary of the French Saint-Gobain . It was formed by the merger of the Weber-Broutin , maxit and Deitermann companies . In 1999 Saint-Gobain positioned the fine plaster division of Wülfrather Zement , the Montenovo-Werke Hans Heitmann KG in Amstetten and the Deutsche Terranova Industrie as Weber Broutin . After taking over the maxit group from HeidelbergCement , they became one of the leading providers in Germany. Saint-Gobain Weber has around 9,500 employees in 46 countries worldwide and generates sales of around € 2.1 billion (as of 2010).
