The Catholic Church of Saint François d'Assise in Pamplemousses is the third oldest church in Mauritius . It is dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi . It is located opposite the main entrance to the Botanical Garden and between the school and the cemetery.

After Pamplemousses was raised to a parish in 1743, construction began on the parish church on the instructions of Mahé de Labourdonnais. In 1756 the building project was completed. The building made of large stone blocks has a blunt church tower on round bases. The open roof structure is typical of churches in Mauritius.

There are two monuments in front of the church. One shows the bust of the governor (1735–1746) Bertrand François Mahé de La Bourdonnais (1699–1753). The other shows Paul and Virginie .

Behind the church there is a crucifix from 1926 and a statue of the Blessed Virgin.
