He served Minamoto no Yoritomo , but after his death in 1160 he joined Taira Munemori ( 平 宗 盛 ; 1147 –1185). • Toshimasa / Dōsan (利 政 / 道 三 ; 1494–1556), born in Kyōto, was a priest who then left his monastery and began trading in oil. Under the protection of Nagai Nagahiro (長 井 長 弘 ), he was adopted by the Nishimura family and called himself Hidemoto. He killed Nagahiro and now called himself Nagai Toshimasa. Not satisfied with it, he drove Toki Yoshinori, then governor of Mino province , and took the name Saitō. He made war on Oda Nobunaga , but made peace with him for fear of defeat and gave him his daughter as a wife. When his adopted son Yoshitatsu turned away from him, Toshimasa attacked him. But he lost the fight and was killed in the process.
  • Yoshitatsu ( 義龍 ; 1527–1561), adopted son of Toki Yoshinori, killed the sons of Toshimasa and with the help of Nagai Michitoshi ( 長 井 道 利 ; † 1571) prevailed against his adoptive father. Nobunaga thought of avenging his father-in-law, but shied away from an open fight with Yoshitatsu.
  • Tatsuoki ( 龍興 ; 1548–1573), Yoshiatsu's son, was then defeated by Nobunaga and fled. With that, the name of this family disappeared from history.
