Salah Abdel Maksud

Salah Abdel Maksud ( Arabic صلاح عبد المقصود, DMG Ṣalāh ʿAbd al-Maqṣūd , * 1958 ) has been Minister of Information of Egypt since August 2, 2012 .

Maksud was born in 1958 and graduated in journalism in 1980. He has been working as a journalist since 1979. During his career, he was editor-in-chief of various Islamic magazines.

Maksud is a member of Hescham Kandil's cabinet . He belongs to the Freedom and Justice Party and the Muslim Brotherhood .
