Salam Award for Imaginative Fiction

The Salam Award for Imaginative Fiction is a Pakistani literary prize that has been awarded since 2017 for short stories in English from the field of science fiction and fantasy . The name of the award refers to the Pakistani physicist and Nobel Prize winner Abdus Salam .

The award is made by a jury on the basis of submissions. The prize is endowed with 50,000 rupees (as of 2019) . In addition, the award winner will be looked after by a literary agent and a lecturer, will receive travel expenses to attend the Functionally Literate reading event in Orlando , Florida , and can attend the International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts (ICFA) as an invited guest .
