Salmann (legal term)
Salmann (plur. Salmen, Salmannen, also Salmannen; mainly in historical texts) was the name for a trustee or notary who was responsible for the Sal , that is the legal transfer (purchase, sale, donation, etc.) of an asset and its eventual Entry in the Salbuch (document book for land, income, gifts) is responsible.
