Salmon Iceland (basically translated from English salmon Island ) is the westernmost island of the Fish Islands on the north side of the Holte Dahl Bay before the Graham Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula .
It was mapped during the British Graham Land Expedition (1934–1937) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer John Rymill . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1959 based on the name of the archipelago to which it belongs.
