Salmonid waters

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Salmonid waters are waters in which the life of fish such as salmon ( Salmo salar ), trout ( Salmo trutta ) and grayling ( Thymallus thymallus ) is or could be sustained.

The classification of a body of water serves to classify the pollution of the water with heavy metals . Salmonid waters are the least polluted waters on such a scale, as the fish mentioned are the most sensitive to pollution. They are followed in the scale by cyprinid waters .
