Cyprinid waters

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cyprinid waters are waters in which the life of fish such as carp fish (Cyprinidae) or species such as pike ( Esox lucius ), perch ( Perca fluviatilis ) and European eel ( Anguilla anguilla ) is or could be sustained.

The classification of a body of water serves to classify the pollution of the water with heavy metals . On such a scale, cyprinid waters are second among the least polluted waters after salmonid waters.
