Salonware Salon Management System (spelling SALONWARE) is a standard software for hairdressers , based on the cloud computing approach . Salonware is offered as software as a service for a monthly fee .

Company and development

The business software Salonware was developed by SALONWARE Regina Grabmeier in Burghausen , Germany, and has been available on the market since 2009. The development team consists of freelance employees from Germany and Austria. The software is tailored for daily work in the salon and can also be used on the move, as well as in the home office via internet access. The company was founded by the master hairdresser Regina Grabmaier.

Purposes

The branch software for hairdressers is used for customer management , administration of employees, working hours, vacation days, appointments, products, stocks, suppliers, services and contains the cash register system . The computer program is available in German and is offered to hairdressers in Germany and Austria. The cash book data can be exported in the formats Excel or Apache OpenOffice and in the so-called DATEV format. So that further processing is possible with a financial accounting program or can be transmitted to a tax advisor.

Software architecture

The hairdressing software Salonware is used as a web application with a web browser over the Internet . The application and the data are stored on web servers in a data center in Germany and in a database management system . The data transfer from the user to the data center is encrypted using SSL . It is not necessary to install the application on the user's access device. The program is platform-independent and can be used with a PC , Mac , tablet or smartphone .

criticism

If the Internet connection fails, it is impossible to use the software and will result in a complete loss of functionality. There is no way to work offline and buffered transaction data nachzubuchen later.

Versions

The salon management system is available in two versions (as of August 2014) Salonware Express and Salonware Professional .

Planned developments

Versions with a reduced range of functions are planned for beginners and founders.

Awards

In February 2014, the hairdressing software was awarded the "Software Made in Germany" seal of approval by the Bundesverband IT-Mittelstand eV (BITMi), which is awarded under the patronage of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy .
