Salvador Márquez (born December 24, 1950 ) is a former Mexican football player who acted in defense and defensive midfield .
Life
Márquez was part of the squad of the Mexican selection at the Olympic football tournament of 1972 , where he played the preliminary round game against the Soviet Union (1: 4).
At that time he was under contract with Chivas Guadalajara , where he was proven to play until the 1974/75 season and on August 14, 1974 in one of the biggest defeats in the history of Clásico Tapatío against city rivals Atlas (1: 5). In the following 1975/76 season he was no longer part of the Chivas squad.
