Salvatore Musella

Salvatore Musella (born in Naples in 1896 ; died in 1943 ) was an Italian composer .

Life

Musella studied with the composer Camillo de Nardis (1857–1951) in his hometown. In Buenos Aires he later worked as the head of an important radio station, where he was anxious to spread the music of modern Italian composers. He composed orchestral works, chamber music, piano pieces and songs for voice and piano.

His piano piece Marina was included in the anthology of old and new music for piano ( Ricordi ) edited by Gino Tagliapietra .
