The house at Salzmannstraße 18 is a listed building in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

It is located on the west side of Salzmannstrasse in the Sudenburg district . The building, which is also listed, borders on Salzmannstrasse 20, 22 to the south .

Architecture and history

The three and a half story house was built in 1903. The architect, master mason and owner was August Kalbow . The eaves-standing building has a mezzanine floor . In addition, a side wing and a wide rear building were built. The facade is structured through the use of plastered and brick-facing surfaces. There are flat plaster strips on the ground floor and the first floor. There are red brick strips vertically on the first and second floors. The window openings on the ground floor are rectangular windows, those on the upper floors are segmented arched windows.

The building is considered a typical construction for the beginning of the 20th century and formative for the street scene.

In the local register of monuments , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 82106 .
