Samia Longchambon
Samia Maxine Longchambon née Ghadie (born July 13, 1982 in Eccles, England ) is a British actress . She is known for her role as Maria Connor in the ITV - soap opera Coronation Street .
life and career
Ghadie was born to Patsy Ghadie and Joseph Ghadie. Her father was a retailer and her mother an actress. She has an older brother named Tariq.
She took acting lessons at the age of six and first appeared on the ITV soap opera Coronation Street when she was eight . She appeared on an episode of Cracker three years later . She took on subsequent roles in Heartbeat, Doctors, Lifeforce and Children's Ward, among others . Her breakthrough came in 2000 when she got the role of Maria Sutherland on Coronation Street .
She has been married to Sylvain Longchambon since August 20, 2016 . The couple have one son (born September 24, 2015). She also has a daughter with her ex-husband, Matthew Smith (born October 19, 2009).
She was on the eighth season of Dancing on Ice . Her partner was Sylvain Longchambon. The two finished fifth on the show.
