Sammi Davis

Samantha "Sammi" Davis (born June 21, 1964 in Kidderminster , Worcestershire ) is a British actress and photographer .

Life

Sammi Davis began her acting career in 1986 and initially appeared in television productions. Her portrayal of a teenage prostitute in Mona Lisa (1986) was recognized and her role in Ken Russell's film The Rainbow (1989) received positive attention. She also had major roles in Mike Hodges' On the Wings of Death and John Boorman's Hope and Glory in 1987 . In addition, from 1991 to 1993 she played a key role in the US television series Homefront , which won the Primetime Emmy Award in 1991 and 1992 . In 1992 she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a series . In 1995 she starred in the episode Honeymoon Suite - The Missing Ingredient of the film Four Rooms .

In 1999, Davis retired from the film business for a few years in order to have more time with her family. In 2006 she made a guest star appearance on the American television series Lost .

Sammi Davis married director Kurt Voss in 1991 , from whom she later divorced. The two have a daughter together. At Christmas 2008 she moved back to England. She married Simon Drew, a television producer for children's shows, on June 21, 2009. She now lives in Sussex with her family . She also works as a photographer in Los Angeles .
