Mike Hodges
Mike Hodges (born July 23, 1932 in Bristol , England ) is a British director and screenwriter .
life and work
Hodges initially directed a few episodes from British television series such as Tempo and World in Action . In 1971 he made his breakthrough as a film director with Get Carter . The main role was played by Michael Caine , with whom Hodges also shot See and Die in 1972 .
In 1978 Hodges began directing Damien - Omen II , the sequel to The Omen , but after a falling out due to creative differences, Don Taylor took over the direction. One of his most famous films is Flash Gordon from 1980. In 1994 he wrote the screenplay for the film Experiment des Grauens u. a. with Donald Sutherland in the lead role.
Mike Hodges has been married twice and has two children.
