Samoa Fencing Association

The Samoa Fencing Association is the umbrella organization for fencing in Samoa . It was founded in 2013 and is a member of the FIE . The headquarters of the organization is in Apia , the current president is Tuala Ohli Aa , general secretary Kassadran Betham (as of 2016).

history

In 2011, the Oceania Fencing Confederation sent two trainers from the Oceania Fencing Master Academy to Samoa to make the sport known there. In consultation with the Samoan Sport Association and the National Olympic Committee, it was decided that a national organization would soon be established. This was provisionally accepted by the FIE on August 8, 2013, making it its 149th member.
