The Samsung Hall in Dübendorf in Switzerland is the second largest multifunctional multi-purpose hall in the Zurich area , with over 5'060 seats, after the Hallenstadion with 13'000 seats . The hall was specially designed for cultural events and is located at Zurich's Stettbach train station on the border of the city of Zurich . It is named after the South Korean electronics company Samsung .
facts and figures
The hall, which opened in January 2017, was financed by private investors, including SVP politician and entrepreneur Hans-Ulrich Lehmann. It cost around 40 million francs.
The 2,000 square meter divisible hall is equipped with a hydraulic, six-fold divisible stage (18 by 10 meters), an extendable telescopic grandstand and a 120 square meter LED wall . In addition to the Samsung Hall, there are two smaller rooms in the building complex with a maximum of 580 and 800 standing places, respectively.
Operating concept
In the modular Samsung Hall, congresses, concerts and business events of various organizers will take place. The base tenant of the hall is the Freikirche International Christian Fellowship .
