Samuel Dash

Samuel Dash (born February 27, 1925 in Camden (New Jersey) , † May 29, 2004 in Washington, DC ) was an American lawyer . He is best known in his role as legal adviser to the Democrats in the so-called Ervin - Committee that the Watergate scandal under investigation.

Life

He was born in Camden, New Jersey. His parents were Joseph and Ida Dash. They were Jewish immigrants from the Soviet Union. The family later moved to Philadelphia.

He attended Central High School in Philadelphia and graduated from Temple University . His studies were interrupted by World War II, in which he participated. He graduated in 1947. He then studied at Harvard Law School , where he graduated in 1950.

Career

In 1955 he became a District Attorney in Philadelphia.

death

Dash died of heart failure in Washington, DC in 2004 . Archibald Cox , known as the special investigator in the Watergate affair , also died the same day .
