Samuel the Confessor
Samuel the Confessor (* 597 in Dakluba , † 695 ) is a saint of the Coptic Church , who is venerated as a confessor .
He founded the monastery of St. Samuel the Confessor in Qalamoun .
The so-called Apocalypse of Samuel is sometimes ascribed to him. However, the text was written later. The figures vary between the 8th century and the Fatimid period .
