San Cristóbal Totonicapán is a city in the Totonicapán Department in the southwest of the Central American Republic of Guatemala .

The city of San Cristóbal Totonicapán was founded around 1578 by the Spanish conquerors, the Conquistadors . The original name was San Cristóbal Paxulá or Pachulá .
