San Jorge is a town in the center of Uruguay .

geography

It is located in the Durazno department in sector 5 . The Arroyo del Sarandí , a left-hand tributary of the Río Negro, runs nearby . The closest settlement is Aguas Buenas in the southeast.

Infrastructure

The Ruta 100 leads through the village, which has its 75 kilometer point here.

San Jorge had 502 inhabitants at the 2011 census, of which 256 were men and 246 were women.
