San Leone Magno is a parish and titular church in Rome assigned to a cardinal priest and consecrated to Pope Leo the Great . The building in the Prenestino district (Q. VII) was completed in 1952. On October 1, 1952, it became its own parish and on February 5, 1965, it was given by Pope Paul VI. elevated to the title Church with the Apostolic Constitution Romanorum Pontificum morem . On December 17, 1989 she was visited by Pope John Paul II .
It was the title church of Karl Cardinal Lehmann .
