El Baúl is a village in the Venezuelan state of Cojedes . It was founded on May 1, 1744 by the priest Pedro José Villanueva. The first name of the place on the Tinacón River was San Miguel Arcángel. Later it was called El Baúl. Agriculture plays a special role. The village festival in honor of the Virgen de la Candelaria takes place on February 2nd.
