San Ysidro is a neighborhood in South San Diego that is best known for its border crossing to Mexico , the San Ysidro Port of Entry .

history

Until 1957, San Ysidro was an independent city, then it was incorporated into San Diego .

The San Ysidro rampage occurred on July 18, 1984 in this part of town (21 fatalities).
