Sanche is a place and a former municipality in northwestern Portugal .
Sanche belongs to the Amarante county in the Porto district . The community had an area of 3.6 km² and 509 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Sanche, Várzea and Aboadela were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Aboadela, Sanche e Várzea .
