A church was first mentioned in a document in 1316; today's baroque hall was built in 1751/52 according to plans by Johann Holzmeister. The three-axis west facade is structured with a continuous main cornice and has a curved bent gable . Above the arched west portal with volute keystone is a niche with a statue of St. Margaretha from the middle of the 17th century. The interior with a four-bay nave, a slightly retracted square choir bay and a rounded end has pilasters with stuccoed composite capitals and entablature pieces as well as a barrel vault with stitch caps. The ceiling paintings were created by Josef Adam Mölk in 1751 . The war memorial on the apse wall was created by Toni Kirchmayr around 1921 .
