architecture

The essentially Romanesque and late Gothic church building from the fourth quarter of the 15th century was redesigned in Baroque style by Jakob Singer in 1740 and expanded to the west in 1970 according to plans by the architect Clemens Holzmeister . The tower on the north side of the choir shows Romanesque bifor windows from the 13th century and has a Gothic pointed gable helmet.

After the extension from 1970, the interior of the church shows two bays of the nave and the two-bay choir with a five-eighth end under Gothic baroque plastered vaults. The pointed triumphal arch shows baroque plaster profiles. The nave has pillars on the walls, the choir has a pilaster structure. Johann Singer created the stucco work in 1740. Johann Georg Höttinger painted the ceiling paintings in 1740, the picture fields in stucco frames showed the Holy Family , farewell of St. Sixtus of two of his deacons. The image of St. Sixtus presents the poor was removed in 1970 and transferred to the outside on the south wall.
