The Auffach parish church stands elevated on the western slope in the village of Auffach in the municipality of Wildschönau in the Kufstein district in the state of Tyrol . The patronage of St. The Roman Catholic parish church subordinate to Johannes Nepomuk belongs to the deanery in Reith im Alpbachtal in the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The church and the cemetery are under monument protection ( list entry ).

history

In a document there was a chaplaincy in 1796. The church was built in 1800/1801 by the builder Andre Hueber. The church was consecrated in 1839 and made a parish church in 1891.

architecture

The church building with a nave and a retracted semicircular choir and a north tower is surrounded by a cemetery. The tower has arched sound windows and an onion helmet with a lantern.

The interior of the church shows a three-bay nave under a barrel vault with stitch caps and the walls with pilasters. The gallery is made of wood. The triumphal arch is rounded. The one-yoke choir closes with a three-eighth closure. Toni Kirchmayr created the ceiling painting in 1925.

Furnishing

Anton Bichler created the high altar around 1800, it shows the high altar picture St. Johannes Nepomuk painted by Franz Nikolaus Streicher, he carries the statues Peter and Paul and shows the guardian angel Raphael in the extract. The side altars are from the third quarter of the 18th century, on the left with the image of Mariahilf and the statues Helena and Notburga, on the right with the image of St. Sebastian and the statues Rochus and Johannes Evangelist.

Gregor Löffler named a bell in 1556.
