Auffach is a village and cadastral municipality in the Wildschönau municipality in the Kufstein district .
geography
Auffach is located at the southern end of the Wildschönau high valley. The church village is 869 m above sea level. The area of the cadastral community is 4,684.57 ha.
The mountains in the area include the Turmkogel, the Feldalpenhorn , the Schwaiberghorn, the Joelspitze and the Schatzberg .

The name of the place is derived from an earlier wooden Auffache , a device with which the alluvial driftwood was caught.
