A church was documented in 1435. In 1684 a baroque renovation and new building takes place. The tower was added in 1852/1854. The church was elevated to a parish church in 1891.

In 1315 a church is mentioned for the first time. The church was rebuilt in 1686 and after a fire in 1703. In 1891 the parish was founded. The present church was built in 1967 according to plans by Franz Windhager while retaining the baroque round apse and the Gothic church tower.

The late baroque building from 1794/1795 was consecrated in 1824. The west tower is set in the nave, its bell floor with basket-arched sound openings set off by cornices, over which an onion helmet is pressed. The retracted choir, closed on three sides, has oval windows. Inside the unadorned hall with a flat barrel and two window axes each. The windows were made by the Tyrolean Glass Painting and Mosaic Institute in 1908. The ceiling paintings are inscribed by Sebastian Anton Defregger from 1817 and were partially painted over in 1970, they show scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary. The cemetery is located around the church, it was laid out at the end of the 18th century and expanded in 1972.
