Parish church Hinterthiersee
The Hinterthiersee parish church is located in the center of Hinterthiersee in the Thiersee municipality in the Kufstein district in the state of Tyrol . The patronage of St. The Roman Catholic parish church, which is subordinate to Nikolaus von Myra , belongs to the Deanery Kufstein of the Archdiocese of Salzburg . The church, the cemetery and the war memorial are under monument protection ( list entry ).
history
A church was documented in 1435. In 1684 a baroque renovation and new building takes place. The tower was added in 1852/1854. The church was elevated to a parish church in 1891.
architecture
The baroque church is surrounded by a cemetery.
The exterior of the church shows a simple facade with a nave and an equally wide choir. The Gothic tower with a pointed gable helmet stands on the north side of the choir.
The interior of the church shows a four-bay nave with a two-bay choir of the same width with a three-sided closure under a barrel vault with stitch caps. The walls have a vertical structure with pilasters, the nave and choir are delimited by two-layer pilasters and a belt arch. The windows are arched. The stucco around 1684 form stucco fields of rectangles and triangles with rosettes and cherubs' heads, the stitch cap ridges show leaf sticks, the pilasters are framed with palmette ribbons.
Furnishing
The crucifix above the high altar is from the first half of the 17th century, the figure of St. Nicholas is from the third quarter of the 18th century. On the parapet of the new gallery there are figurines of the four church fathers and Christ Salvator from the middle of the 18th century, the figurines were transferred here from the former pulpit.
