Aboadela is a place and a former municipality in northwestern Portugal .
Aboadela belongs to the Amarante county in the Porto district . The community had an area of 21 km² and 777 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the communities Aboadela, Várzea and Sanche were merged to form the new community União das Freguesias de Aboadela, Sanche e Várzea . Aboadela is the seat of this newly formed community.
