Samuel Bellah ( Samuel Harrison "Sam" Bellah ; born June 24, 1887 in Metz , California , † January 9, 1963 in Portland (Oregon) ) was an American athlete who took part in the Olympic Games twice. 1908 in London and 1912 in Stockholm .

Life

On September 2, 1919, he married Livette Adalade Lathrop (born December 25, 1888).

Samuel Bellah was a graduate of Stanford University (born 1911), from which he was sent to the Olympic Games in his sophomore year as the university's first student.

Athletic career

Amateur Athletic Union

In 1911 and 1915 he was the AAU pole vault champion .

  • In the pole vault he was seventh with 3.75 m, with one gold, two silver and three bronze medals being awarded on the six places in front of him.
