The Sandesberg ( Danish Sundsbjerg ) is 53.5 m high, the highest point in the North Friesland region . The summit is in the Ostfeld community , around one kilometer east of the town center. The Sandesberg - part of a Geestrücken - was created as an old moraine during the Saale Ice Age and was particularly formed during the Vistula Ice Age .
