Sandman (title)

Sandman is the title of a judge who was appointed judge by the royal bailiff after Jyske Lov, who was created by the Danish King Waldemar II in 1241 .

Eight sandmen were responsible for a harde . These were for the case-law, manslaughter , mutilation , army work , rape , wounding , false imprisonment charge and disputes over field sheaths.
