Sandro Bracchitta

Sandro Bracchitta (born September 24, 1966 in Ragusa ) is an Italian graphic artist, etcher and engraver.

Life

Bracchitta studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence in 1990 . In the same year he began to work as a painter and engraver. His first solo exhibition took place in 1991 in the Palazzo Datini in Prato .

In 1992 he received a scholarship to specialize at "Il Bisonte", the arts and crafts school in Florence. In the same year he exhibited his works in several art galleries. In 1994 he was invited to take part in the "Triennale Engraving Exhibition" in Chamalières (France), after which he won the 14th edition of "Mini Print International" in Cadaqués (Spain).

From 1994 to 1997 he was invited to several national and international exhibitions, such as the 21st and 22nd International Biennial Graphics Exhibition in Ljubljana (Slovenia), the International Prize for Graphic Arts in Biella (Italy), the Ibiza Biennale in Spain, the Krakow Triennial Engraving Exhibition in Poland, the Stedeliske Museum in Sint Niklaas, Belgium, and the International Graphic Exhibition in Bitola (Macedonia), Kharkiu (Russia), Uzice (Croatia), Győr and Budapest (Hungary).
