Sandy y Papo

Sandy y Papo is a merengue hip-hop band from Sandy "Sandy MC" Carriello and Luís "Papo MC" Deschamps from Santo Domingo . Both had lived in New York since the early 1990s . With their songs they achieved gold and platinum awards in many Latin American countries. They also made a name for themselves in Latin clubs in North America and Europe. After Papo's death on July 11, 1999, Sandy MC tried to be a solo artist with less success. His first album Homenaje a Papo is a "dedication to Papo".
