history
Sansan was founded in 2001 as an independent subsidiary of the Helsana Group, operating on the market . With the brand harmonization of the Helsana Group, Sansan lost its own branding on June 16, 2013 and has been communicating under the parent company Helsana since then. As of January 1, 2017, it was merged with the basic insurance subsidiary Progrès Insurance .
Field of activity
The core business of Sansan Versicherungen AG is the compulsory basic insurance according to the Health Insurance Act and optional supplementary insurance for supplementary benefits in health care, hospital treatment, long-term care, dental treatment as well as loss of wages and capital insurance.
