Sanskrit dictionary

The Sanskrit Dictionary of the Academy of Sciences in Göttingen is a dictionary created on the basis of the Buddhist texts from the Turfan Finds and the canonical literature of the Sarvastivada School ( English Sanskrit Dictionary of the Buddhist Texts from the Turfan Finds and of the Canonical Literature of the Sarvāstivāda School ). The project was started by the Sanskritist Ernst Waldschmidt . The first volume, edited by Heinz Bechert , was published by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht in 1994 . Jens-Uwe Hartmann has been the editor since 2009 .
