Santa Cruz is a city in Chile . It has 32,000 inhabitants (as of 2005) and is located in the province of Colchagua . This is in the Región del Libertador General Bernardo O'Higgins .

Geography and climate

Santa Cruz is located on the Estero Chimbarongo River, around 181 km south of the capital Santiago and 41 km west of San Fernando , on the way to the Pacific beach and surfer's paradise Pichilemu .

The city is supplied with water by the Río Tinguiririca and the Lago Rapel reservoir .
