Santa Maria della Speranza was a church building in Palermo , Sicily .

The church was built under King Wilhelm II . The entrance portal was framed by two blind arches . The outer one was provided with upholstery blocks, the inner one with a zigzag pattern. There were pointed arched windows on both sides of the portal and above the portal .

After the church fell into disrepair, its foundations were built over and the church was forgotten. At the beginning of the 20th century, the historian Nino Basile identified facade details that can still be seen today on the ground floor of the current building as remains of the Church of Santa Maria della Speranza. The pointed arch of the entrance portal and the pointed arched windows can still be seen. The two side windows are walled up, the entrance portal is also walled up except for a rectangular door opening.
