Nino Basile (born July 28, 1866 in Palermo , † April 11, 1937 there ) was an Italian historian and art historian .

One focus of his activity was the search for evidence of the history of Palermo. His knowledge of the manuscripts of older scholars such as Antonino Mongitore , which are preserved in the Biblioteca Comunale in Palermo and contain a lot of information about lost documents and buildings, was helpful to him .
